AP4D x WIIS-A Webinar | Diversity in Development, Diplomacy and Defence
Australia’s diversity is an invaluable asset for its international engagement, providing a deep and broad reservoir of perspectives and experiences to draw upon. As Minister Wong put it in a 2023 National Press Club address: “our national power, more than anything else, comes from our people”. There is still much to be done to consolidate progress already achieved – Australia must also grapple with backlash against diversity, equity and inclusion – but there are positive stories to tell and momentum to build upon.
On Thursday 21 August AP4D co-hosted a webinar with Women in International Security-Australia on ‘Diversity in Development, Diplomacy and Defence’ with a distinguished panel sharing their experiences leading change within Australia’s development, diplomacy and defence communities.
