AP4D webinar | Turbulence in diplomacy and trade: What does it mean for Australia?
In the foreword to the Australia in the World 2025 Snapshot released in February, Foreign Minister Penny Wong says that the “assumptions we have relied on for generations are less assured”. The principles of free trade, respect for international law, the inviolability of sovereignty and the reliability and predictability of the United States are among the Australian interests that – while never perfect – can no longer be assumed. To what extent are we seeing the end of the ‘rules-based international order’? What comes next? And what are the implications for Australia?
On Thursday 10 April AP4D hosted a webinar to hear from an expert panel on the current upheaval in trade and diplomacy, what it means for Australia’s interests and relationships in the world, and how the next government should navigate the turbulence.
