AP4D Webinar | Australia in World Affairs 2016-2020
On Wednesday 11 December AP4D hosted a webinar to launch online ‘Australia in World Affairs 2016-2020: A Return to Great-Power Rivalry’. Published every five years by the Australian Institute of International Affairs, the Australia in World Affairs series is the definitive account of Australian foreign policy since the 1950s. Spanning the first Trump presidency and bookended by the Brexit referendum and coronavirus pandemic, this thirteenth volume covers an era of profound disruption.
This webinar brought together a panel of co-editors and contributing authors to speak to the key foreign policy developments during the period 2016-2020, the implications for Australia’s international engagement at the time, and contemporary lessons they might offer.
Featuring:
- Baogang He, Alfred Deakin Professor and Chair in International Relations at Deakin University
- Bec Strating, Director of La Trobe Asia and Professor in Politics and International Relations at La Trobe University
- Danielle Chubb, Associate Professor in International Relations at Deakin University
