AP4D Symposium | Supporting Pacific Youth, Civil Society and Media
On Friday 28 June AP4D hosted a webinar to launch the options paper ‘What does it look like for Australia to support Youth, Civil Society and Media in the Pacific’ – the result of four months of consultations with almost 60 experts from Australia and across the Pacific.
The paper identifies opportunities for Australian engagement in these important sectors. Click here to explore the paper.
Following opening remarks from Jamie Isbister, Deputy Head of the Office of the Pacific, PNG consultation facilitator Brenda Lombange gave an overview of the PNG voices process. Working group contributors Claire Gorman and Olivia Baro then shared their insights in a panel discussion, followed by a policymaker response to the paper from Shadow Minister for International Development and the Pacific Michael McCormack.
